King Tutankhamen’s Perspective

Good day, my title is Pharoh Tutankhamen, son of Akhenaten. You may remember his rein of monotheism. He spent his life forcing the belief of the one god Ra, god of the sun. I am not like my father. Everyone has a choice to what they believe to be true, whether it be one god or many. Under my reign, I have noticed how superior Egypt has become to the surrounding nations. This is shown through steadiness, art and architecture, lasting achievements and social classes.

Throughout the ages, other civilizations have risen and fallen. The Mesopotamian civilizations only last close to 100 annum before falling to the next nation. After the fall of the city of old, Sumer, the Assyrians rise and fall to the Babylonians, who are then replaced by the Persians. The list goes on and on. Where as the great nation of Egypt stands the same, only separated by the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms. Each of our kingdoms lasted 200 years or more. Our only fall came with Cleopatra’s Great love affair with that Roman pig. But of course this is not our only trait.

Our intricate and magnificent final resting places stand alone in comparison to those of the other nations. Every man knows of the pyramids, specifically those of Giza, built by the great Pharoh Khufu. Inside lay my most valuable possessions, ones that have brought me a luxurious afterlife much similar to my life in Egypt. Stories of each god’s life are carved into the walls of their tomb viewed through images and hieroglyphs. We Egyptians are very intelligent. We knew to keep record of the great obstacles overcome and triumphs of our leaders. Only the Sumerians came close to our great achievements with their Ziggurats. Of course they used their monuments for worship and burial.

These pyramids, writings, and artistic features are only some of our lasting achievements remembered by all. What is India or Mesopotamia remembered for? Off the top of those filthy American heads, nothing. They must search through the mess of information using their communication devices to find one example. Popular scribes constantly create writings about our greatness, the very least, our religion. I must give credit to China. They have brought medicine, the Great Wall, and seismographs to the table. Of course my argument still stands. Can you name an emperor or event an ancient Chinese religion, without searching for answers? I didn’t think so.

And lastly, it is obvious our social class is far superior to all other nations. The Chinese disclided women. The young girls were to stay at home and work. Our women could rise to power. Our goddesses showed might, not cleanliness.  Ours are not blended, like the Sumerians. Our classes are specific and separated in many groups, not mixed with merchants and craftsmen or King and government. Their King does not even rule over all. No, ours is simple, yet completing. I, as Pharoh and god of my subjects, am at the top. I make the final decision. Then come my governors, who rule over the smaller sections instead of the whole nation like I did. Then come the soldiers, our protectors and warriors, our scribes with the important job of recording our history, merchants, craftsmen, farmers, and of course the slaves are last. Our system has been a key reason we lasted so long as a nation. Everyone has their spot in life providing food, labor, goods, or services to the people.

In conclusion, Egypt is most superior due to our steadiness, art and architecture, lasting achievements and our social classes. If not for the foolish mistakes made by cleopatra, we could have lasted thousands of years longer. But all of this is behind me, now that my life does not include sickness in my bones or disfigurement in my leg and foot. Thanks to our preparedness, I have fine clothing, riches, and protection in my afterlife. I bid you good day.
